Meetings
Information about meetings is published in the Occupational Therapist newsletter and is available on the OT AUSTRALIA NSW discussion board.

Purpose
The Paediatric and Adolescent Focus Group is one of several clinical focus groups of OT AUSTRALIA NSW. It is a voluntary group that aims to support occupational therapists working with children, adolescents and their families who facilitate the occupational performance of children across play, productive, self care and sleep/rest occupations. The focus group has a State-wide cordination group and regional link groups.

Participation
Members interested in participating in this focus group can identify their interest on the OT AUSTRALIA NSW membership form or by notifying the OT AUSTRALIA NSW Secretariat.

You can choose to join a regional link group.

The PAFG Coordination Group Committee assists with organisation of CPD events, liaises with OT AUSTRALIA NSW, supports you and responds to your professional questions and issues. You are able to contact the Chairperson or other Coordination Group Committee members to discuss professional issues at any time.

Mission
To encourage the growth and development, advocate on behalf of, and inform occupational therapists working with children and adolescents on issues relating to areas of practice.

The group achieves this mission through:

Encouraging networking between PAFG link groups.

Facilitating access to relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for PAFG participants.

Establishing and maintaining a high profile for PAFG within OT AUSTRALIA NSW.

Acting as a resource for OT AUSTRALIA NSW on issues relevant to paediatric and adolescent occupational therapy.

Promoting paediatric and adolescent practice amongst the wider profession of occupational therapy.
