Being an involved member also provides you with the opportunity to participate in and influence the occupational therapy political environment. Members involved in the Board of Directors, focus groups, working groups and committees have great networking opportunities on a regular basis. Focus group meeting dates are advertised regularly in the Occupational Therapist newsletter and on the OT AUSTRALIA NSW website. Each focus group has an annual general meeting at which elections for office bearers are conducted. The Call for Nominations for Board positions is advertised in the Occupational Therapist newsletter and further information (including the nomination form) is available here. The newsletter also has up-to-date information about representative roles, working party formation and committee vacancies.
Every two years members can indicate their interest in being contacted directly by OT AUSTRALIA NSW about representative, working party and mentoring roles by joining the OT AUSTRALIA NSW Reference Group. |
