Board of Directors and State Elected Councillor Nominations
The role of the Board is to guide the strategic direction and oversee the outcomes and performance of the organisation.
As a Director of OT AUSTRALIA NSW, you will have the opportunity to:

Develop a broader understanding of the issues facing your profession
Be actively involved in setting the strategic agenda for members and the profession into the future
Be involved in promoting and representing the profession to stakeholders.
Who may nominate?
In accordance with Article 50 of the Memorandum and Articles of Association, full
financial members of OT AUSTRALIA NSW may nominate to be elected to the position of
Director on the Board or as a State Elected Councillor. The nomination must be
proposed and seconded by two full financial members of OT AUSTRALIA NSW. Click here to download the nomination form.
Closing Date
The Board of OT AUSTRALIA NSW is made up of a minimum of 6 and maximum number of 10 members.
Each director is elected for a term of two years and can serve up to five
consecutive terms. If the number of candidates nominated does not exceed the
number of vacant positions on the Board, those nominated shall be declared
elected at the Annual General Meeting of the Association. If the number of
candidates nominated exceeds those required an election will be held and
ballot papers will be posted to all eligible voting members at least 21 days
prior to the Annual General Meeting. The ballot papers will include a brief
citation for each candidate to assist members to vote for their preferred
candidate. The candidates receiving the greatest number of votes shall be
declared elected.
