Conference Student Scholarship

The OT AUSTRALIA NSW Student Scholarship is just one way the Association encourages student involvement in the state conference and demonstrates its support of student members. Scholarships are available to undergraduate occupational therapy students who are current student members of OT AUSTRALIA NSW. Each scholarship is to the value of the conference student member registration fee.

Two scholarships are awarded each year a state conference is held. There are numerous benefits of attending the state conference. Some of these include the opportunity to gain:

knowledge of contemporary practice and research being conducted by occupational therapists across the state and the nation

awareness of the issues effecting occupational therapists working in various settings and across a broad range of areas of practice

an understanding of the state of play and the future direction of the profession as a whole

In addition to these benefits, the recipients of the OT AUSTRALIA NSW Student Scholarship receive financial assistance to attend the conference.

Award Criteria
The applicant must:

Be a current student member of OT AUSTRALIA NSW

Have not received the scholarship in a previous year

Submit a 250-word article outlining what you would hope to gain from attending the OT AUSTRALIA NSW conference and your view on the key issues currently effecting occupational therapy undergraduate students

Agree to write a brief article for the Occupational Therapist newsletter immediately following the conference outlining your experience of attending the conference.
